Christian Mix 106 did not begin as a long term business plan or a carefully mapped out brand. It began as a calling, and according to Station Manager Brian Tucker, it came together quickly and with clarity.

Brian shares that the idea for Christian Mix 106 was born after stepping away from another station he had been involved with. Alongside Assistant Director Jennifer Cotney, who was already serving in radio ministry at the time, the two felt led to build something different.
“We wanted to have a non traditional, out of the box ministry,” Brian explains. “From the variety of music we play, to the devotionals and messages from our team, our heart was to reach as many people as possible, beginning with the one.”
That vision became reality on August 10, 2020, when Christian Mix 106 officially launched.
Since then, the station has grown far beyond what Brian initially imagined.
Today, it has reached listeners in 72 countries across six continents, with hopes of reaching even more in the years ahead.
At the core of the station’s mission is Mark 16:15, guiding everything they do with a focus on entertaining, enlightening, and ultimately bringing people to Jesus.
Programming at Christian Mix 106 is intentionally designed to feel different from traditional Christian radio.
Brian says the goal has always been to surprise listeners in a good way.
“We try to appeal to people who are looking for something different,” he says.
“We keep our music selection random so people are not hearing the same songs over and over. We want listeners to say, ‘I haven’t heard that in years,’ or ‘I’ve never heard of this artist before, but I really like this.’”
A major part of that approach is the station’s strong support of independent artists. Brian believes that many Indie artists simply need an opportunity to be heard.

“They have stories and testimonies they want to share,” he says. “Someone out there needs to hear those songs, and they could truly make a life changing impact by pointing that person toward a life with Jesus.”
In addition to music, Christian Mix 106 features devotionals and Christ centered messages from a diverse team of contributors.
These voices come from many different backgrounds, bringing personal experiences and testimonies that connect deeply with listeners while keeping Christ at the center.
When asked what has encouraged him most as a station manager, Brian points to the unexpected ways God has used the station to reach people around the world.
“We have seen listeners find us in regions and countries you would not expect,” he shares. “Some of these places discourage Christianity or even punish it. That kind of reach does not happen without God. There is an underground movement happening, and it is humbling to see how God is working through the station.”
Looking to the future, Brian sees Christian Mix 106 continuing to grow as part of a broader media ministry. In August 2025, the team launched Christian Mix Media International, expanding their reach and opening new opportunities.
Another upcoming project, Christ Powered Talk Radio, is beginning to take shape and will continue developing in the coming year.
The long term vision is to create a space where artists, authors, filmmakers, and other creatives can connect and collaborate with the shared goal of expanding God’s Kingdom.
Alongside this media growth, Christian Mix 106 remains committed to hands on ministry through its Ministry in Motion program, partnering with non profits across the country and in their home state of Delaware to make a practical and lasting impact.
As Christian Mix 106 looks ahead to 2026, gratitude remains a constant theme. Brian credits God for the partners, artists, listeners, and friends who have walked alongside the station since day one.
What began as a simple idea has become a global ministry, still rooted in its original calling, to reach the one, wherever they may be.
