Christian worship artist Chris Sarver is starting the new year with a deeply honest and faith-filled new single titled “Praise My Way Through,” releasing January 2, 2026.

The song is a personal worship anthem rooted in perseverance, vulnerability, and choosing praise even when life feels uncertain.

The inspiration for the song came from a simple but powerful conversation.

“I was inspired by a friend named Maria,” Sarver shares. “She faces ongoing physical health challenges and family struggles, and when I asked how she was doing, she answered honestly.

She didn’t pretend everything was fine, but she also didn’t speak from a place of defeat. She ended her message by saying, ‘I’m just doing my best to praise my way through it.’ That line immediately became the chorus.”

From there, Praise My Way Through developed into one of Sarver’s most personal songs to date.

The first verse reflects the long waiting season of Sarver’s songwriting journey, a place many artists know well. After years of writing music largely behind the scenes and hoping for greater opportunities to share his songs within the church and beyond, the song captures the tension of trusting God while still waiting for doors to open.

The second verse addresses Sarver’s experience with bipolar disorder, touching on the unseen battles that influence emotions and thoughts. Rather than shying away from difficult topics, the song embraces honesty while pointing listeners toward worship as a steady anchor.

“Neither of these are things I’ve written about before,” Sarver explains. “While this may be one of the most relatable songs I’ve written, it’s also the most personal.”

Musically, Praise My Way Through carries the feel of a live, intimate worship moment. The song blends reflection, grief, and surrender with a sense of freedom and release, creating space for listeners to engage with God right where they are.

“It feels like a very personal worship song,” Sarver says. “There’s mourning, introspection, and a lot of openness. My hope is that people feel encouraged to worship even in moments when God’s victory doesn’t feel visible yet.”

At its heart, the song centers on the power of praise in every season of life.

“Praise is powerful,” Sarver reflects. “Sometimes it’s a response to the goodness of God we’re experiencing. Sometimes it’s rooted in grace and the hope of His promises. And sometimes praise is the thing that lifts our eyes above the circumstances we’re facing.”

Releasing Praise My Way Through at the start of the year was intentional. The song serves as a reminder that worship is not only for moments of clarity and celebration, but also for seasons of waiting, healing, and endurance.
